My Friend

My Friendship With You…
by Kristi Maxim

In my life is our friendship…
So strong and so built.
It keeps going on and on and I have no guilt.

My friendship with you…
So deep and so right.
We get along so well with an occasional fight.

My friendship with you…
So caring and so dear.
I don’t have to worry, you’ll always be near.

My friendship with you…
So open and so pure.
You always try to help me even when you’re not sure.

My friendship with you…
So sweet and so long.
I know I can go to you when something is wrong.

In my life is our friendship…
So calm and so true.
We’ve had many times and we’ll have many more too.

Ode To My True Friend
by Elizabeth Pinard

The day I met you
I found a friend -
And a friendship that
I pray will never end.

Your smile - so sweet
And so bright -
Kept me going
When day was as dark as night.

You never ever judged me,
You understood my sorrow.
Then you told me it needn’t be that way
And gave me the hope of a better tomorrow.

You were always there for me,
I knew I could count on you.
You gave me advice and encouragement
Whenever I didn’t know what to do.

You helped me learn to love myself
You made life seem so good.
You said I can do anything I put my mind to
And suddenly I knew I could.

There were times when we didn’t see eye to eye
And there were days when both of us cried.
But even so we made it through:
Our friendship hasn’t yet died.

Circumstances have pulled us apart,
We are separated by many miles.
Truly, the only thing that keeps me going
Is my treasured memory of your smile.

This friendship we share
Is so precious to me,
I hope it grows and flourishes
And lasts unto infinity.

You are so extra-special to me
And so this to you I really must tell:
You are my one true friend,
My Guardian Angel.

Our friendship is one-in-a-million
So let’s hold on to it and each other.
We cannot let this chance of pure bliss fly away
For there will never be another.

I love you.
I will always love you.

Lighting Your Way
by justageorgiaguy

If I was one thing, I’d be a candle
Lighting the way so you can handle
Your life easier without woes
Not having to fight with your foes.
I’d help keep you from stumbling over
Things blocking your path to an open door.
If I light your path, life is easier,
Even strong winds, my light will not deter.
No matter what, I’m here for you
To cheer you up when you are blue.
Do not fret when times get tough,
If things look down or kind of rough.
Just remember, I’m always here,
In your heart, close and near.
I will help you out in every way,
Happiness and love in your heart will stay.
Don’t blow me out, that’s one request
Unless it’s me you do detest.
I do not try to hurt anyone
That isn’t good or any fun.
But one day you may leave me behind
You may no longer need my light to shine.
If that day comes, go on your way
And I will hope to see you again one day.
If one day, I don’t appear,
Do not worry, do not fear
I may be gone, but in your heart
The light I gave you did not depart.
It will be there forever and a day
To always bring happiness and light your way.
Farewell for now, I’m needed elsewhere
If your path grows dark, in your heart, I’m there.
So I’m really not gone, just not seen,
I would not leave, I’m not that mean.
Only one simple request that I must say,
Please, never forget those who lit your way.

Who am I?

About Me:

An ordinary mortal . . . a very simple person. Very friendly and patient. I could wait for hours, days, months . . . but be on the dot . . . or I will be missed. I could wait though, but please tell me so. If you cannot be true to your word, how much more can you be true to your deed?

The search for friends never stops . . . but they would just come and go. Ganyan naman yata talaga. . . but the memories and lessons they leave behind would always be treasure forever. Could it be true that little sincerity is a dangerous thing, and a great deal of it is absolutely fatal?

No two humans are the same . . . so much so that the more they get together . . . the more differences they discover. Bearable and lasting as it may, it is from this that you learn to like yourself . . . and to like others. I did not choose myself . . . how can I even judge others? Am I the friend that you seek? . . . it shall always remain to be seen.

Who I Want to Meet:

I like people who are always in the mood and on the move…. people who look at the brighter side of life. People who believe and have trust in themselves…yung taong may paninindigan at tiwala sa sarili. Yung masayahin . . . and those who find pleasure in pleasing others.

Beliefs may be different and views diverse . . . but being nice to people will always spell the difference. The world was not made for a special kind of people. . . and for all of life’s eccentricities, it is only you who can make it worth the goodness that it is.

Always be prepared to ask for understanding and forgiveness as called for . . . you are a self-made man; Walk through the world with esteem and openness; smile and be prepared to help others. Learn to somehow forgive and forget . . . to err is only human.

The path to success is lined with thorns and trials, of envy and jealousy. And no matter how reality may seem unkind, be on your toes. God loves you. He will never leave you alone.
